project name
MOUNT GIBBS: GOLD, LITHIUM AND NICKEL-PGE
brief description
Discover the Mount Gibbs Project in Forrestania, WA—prospective for gold, lithium, nickel, and PGEs, with proven mineralisation, major nearby mines, and strong exploration upside.
Project Location
The Mt Gibbs Project is a highly prospective, multi-commodity exploration opportunity located approximately 190 km southeast of Southern Cross, Western Australia. The project consists of two granted Exploration Licenses, covering a strategic portion of the Forrestania Greenstone Belt, a region renowned for its history of battery and precious metals resource.
Geologically, Mt Gibbs lies along the southern extension of the same greenstone sequence that hosts the mineral-rich Southern Cross Belt. This favourable positioning enhances the project’s exploration potential for gold, nickel, platinum group elements (PGEs), and lithium.
Importantly, the project is situated in close proximity to major operations, including IGO’s Forrestania Nickel Operation, SQM’s Mt Holland Lithium Project, and Allkem’s Mt Cattlin Lithium Mine. This regional context supports a case for the discovery of high-value mineral systems in a well-established mining jurisdiction.

EXPLORATION POTENTIAL
Previous drilling, comprising 32 shallow RC and RAB holes, intersected multiple gold-bearing zones confirming the mineralised system remains underexplored. Notable assay results include:
- 5m @ 2.32 g/t Au from 25m
- 8m @ 0.40 g/t Au from 29m, including 1m @ 1.7 g/t Au from 29m
- 5m @ 0.50 g/t Au from 47m, including 1m @ 2.2 g/t Au from 47m
Tenement Location Plan

PROJECTS IN DISTRICT
- Mt Holland – Wesfarmers and SQM, lithium mine.
- Forrestania – IGO, Nickel mine.
- Mt Cattlin – Allkem, lithium mine.
- MEGA Resources, Rama Gold Mine.

MINING
- During 1936 King George gold mine produced significant high-grade gold from a shallow open pit. Historical production from King George mine was 50t @ 40 oz gold.
- Mount Gibbs Gold-Lithium project is located next to the globally significant IGO Forrestania Gold project.
- Along the Jupiter ground, hosts a significant number of high-grade historical mines and mine shafts.
- Extensive deep hole drilling along the Jupiter ground has confirmed down-dip gold mineralisation.
- The location is ideal for the development of a mining operation.

RESOURCE POTENTIAL
- The open-ended deposit lies within a 3km long geochemical gold anomaly that has seen very little drill testing, and there is potential for the discovery of a substantial gold deposit within the project area.
- Gold mineralisation open at depth and all directions with a potential for large resource tonnes.
- Significant untested geophysical anomalies within the project area require further exploration.
- Significant resource potential below the pit and long strike extent.
- Previous explorers never tested lithium mineralisation and with limited exploration for gold and lithium mineralisation.
