Millenium Minerals Sponsors Record-Breaking Giving Circle Fundraiser

Perth, Western Australia, 23 September 2025 – Millenium Minerals today announced its sponsorship of the Meridian Global Foundation’s annual Giving Circle event, held on 17th September at RAC Arena. Meridian Global Foundation is “a goodwill network comprising professionals, investors and entrepreneurs seeking to make a difference in their communities by supporting high-impact social causes”.

Last week’s Giving Circle, overflowing with community leaders and philanthropists, raised a record $166,000 to support local and international charities (boosting Meridian’s endowment fund to over $900,000).

Key Highlights from the Night

  • $166,000 raised, the highest total to date for a Meridian Giving Circle.
  • Contributions increased the Meridian Impact Fund balance to over $900,000.
  • Major grants were pledged to three charities: Grandcarers WA, CINI Australia, and World Literacy Foundation.

Millenium Minerals is proud to play a role in such community-driven giving. As Cyril D’Silva commented:

“At Millenium Minerals, we are committed to transparency, sustainability and ethical sourcing. Partnering with Meridian’s Giving Circle is a natural extension of these values. Our company emphasizes responsible mining practices and community empowerment, so it was incredibly rewarding to see our donation support CINI Australia’s mission. Empowering mothers and children in India aligns perfectly with our belief that business success should create positive social impact.”

D’Silva further noted that corporate philanthropy offers broad benefits:

“By giving back, companies strengthen their connections to the communities and stakeholders who support us. In fact, research shows that genuine corporate giving often strengthens reputation and brand image — and that’s a win-win when it helps vital charities. We’re honoured that our sponsorship helped inspire this level of generosity and ‘infinite generosity’ among all attendees.”

Giving Circle Beneficiaries

  • Grandcarers WA: $30,000 donation (plus a $40,000 branding support package) to support grandparents caring for grandchildren.
  • CINI Australia: $20,000 donation to assist programs that empower women and children in India.
  • World Literacy Foundation: $10,000 donation to advance education for at-risk children.

These grants, decided by Meridian’s Giving Circle members, exemplify the collective impact of business and community partnership. Millenium Minerals congratulates all sponsors and attendees whose support “amplified Meridian’s impact in such a powerful way,” as Meridian chair Anna Pitman noted on LinkedIn. Together, Millenium Minerals and its partners are helping turn individual generosity into lasting community benefits.
